Mehar Images processes personal data from current students via the school and online on our website.

    • Full names of students
    • Respective class of students
    • Sibling lists

    • Telephone numbers (website ordering)

2.   HOW WE COLLECT AND PROCESS PERSONAL DATA

 

Mehar Images will collect personal data, as outlined above, from the school before the school photography.

Data is also collected directly from you (in the case of students, from their parents or legal guardian) on our website. This is done during the ordering process on our website.

 

3.   PURPOSES FOR PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

We obtain, hold and process data for the following purposes and other purposes that are compatible with the purposes below:

 

  • Arrange the data on our records and our website in order to facilitate school orders for parents
  • Process and record each order with the relevant student and parent name
  • Followup any order done incorrectly
  • Followup any mistakes in any order once delivered
  • Fulfilment of legal and statutory

 

4.         LEGAL BASIS FOR PROCESSING DATA

 

We collect and use personal data for the purposes describe above and under the lawful basis that the processing is necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations with you. In some circumstances, we may have to process data for other purposes that are not necessary for the performance of our contractual obligations. In such cases, the processing may be based upon our legitimate interests, such as providing an easier website navigation system, compliance with our legal obligations.

 

5.         STORING AND RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

 

We apply the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure the security, privacy confidentiality, and integrity of your personal data, preventing from unauthorised access or unlawful processing as well as accidental loss, destruction or damage of the data.

 

We keep personal data for as long as one year (full school term) with regard to the purposes described in Clause 3 of this notice or for any other purposes that may be communicated to you and in line with our retention policies. Once your data is no longer required or permitted to be retained for legal or school purposes, it will be safely backed up and removed from current usage in line with our retention policies.

 

6.         SHARING OF PERSONAL DATA

 

For the most part, the personal data that we collect will remain within Mehar Images, and will be processed by appropriate employees in accordance with access protocols for the purposes of delivering the services required.

 

For the purposes described in Clause 3 of this Notice, we may need to share your personal data externally with third parties including government authorities and agencies. For such transfers and sharing of personal data, we have implemented suitable safeguards.

Each respective school and Mehar Images will thus be excluded from any litigation, liabilities or warranties on the part of any party named on this website and/or any employees or bodies thereof.

 

Please note that photographs and footage will be taken throughout the school photography session. These will be used by Mehar Images for selling our products via our website only. Please contact the school if you have any concerns or if you wish to be exempted from this activity.

 

We will not use any of your images except solely for the purpose of selling our products to you. After the School Ordering date has lapsed, the website will be deactivated.
